The Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement Higher Institutions Staff Forum is an organ of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Campus Fellowship across the globe.

It is made up of academic and non-academic staff of institutions of higher learning (Universities, Colleges of Education, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, etc) and was established on 10th August, 2019 at the Watchman Educational project centre, Awo-Omama Imo State Nigeria.

Objectives of the HINSTAFF

 

  1. To retain and further develop the spiritual and academic lives of Christians who work in institutions of higher learning in Nigeria and abroad.

 

  1. To attract and retain Watchman staff members of higher institutions who are not currently in the forum as well as other non-Watchman Staff members.

 

  1. To build a data base of all Watchman Higher Institutions Staff across the world for collaborations and linkages.

 

  1. To utilize national and international academic linkages for the benefit of staff and students.

 

  1. To organize a regular annual convention to discuss, among other things, the extent the Watchman vision has been prosecuted in institutions of higher learning as well as suggest ways of improvement.

 

  1. To identify higher institutions, especially in Nigeria, where Watchman Staff forum does not exist with the aim of establishing one.

 

  1. To mentor members in their early career stages for timely completion of higher degrees and prompt promotions.

 

  1. To identify and help tackle the academic problems of Watchman students in our campuses as well as monitor their academic performances and progress.

 

  1. To assist indigent Watchman students in our campuses and recommend extreme cases for possible support from the church.

 

  1. To float journals on academic and Christian issues and to encourage publication of books for intellectual development and spiritual edification.

 

  1. To encourage and support members to seek positions of authority in higher institutions and in the society and assist them fulfil the demands of their positions faithfully to the glory of God.

 

  1. To carry out responsibilities assigned to the forum by the General Superintendent of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement.

 

  1. To fulfil the mandate of our Lord and Saviour-Jesus Christ: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
